Well done to ALL Club Players, Parents, Supporters, Friends, Coaches, Volunteers, Venue Owners, Partners, Lancashire FA, The FA, Warrington Junior Football League, Warrington & District Football League, Team Sponsors, Nike, Vesey, Winwick Parish Council, UA Warrington, Culcheth High School, University of Chester, Warrington Borough Council, Newton Rotary Club and everyone else connected with Winwick Athletic FC for achieving the most important thing of all ……. LETTING YOUR CHILDREN ENJOY THEIR FOOTBALL THIS YEAR !!
Your time, effort and patience, is invaluable to their well being, their self-esteem, their development as people, as well as their enjoyment of sport and improvement with their football …… its clearly not just a game, but in simple terms by making it be exactly that … “just a game” .. you reward the children in so many ways, too many for you to even measure.
Success measured by way of older teams winning divisions and titles has provided a good share for our teams too, particularly our U12s and U17s teams, but the message from the Club is that every single one of you are winners in our eyes.
To our 40 FA Licensed Coaches too, an amazing achievement to have so many of you all on board with this public statement of commitment to developing yourselves as coaches.
Keep up all of the good work as we approach 2016/17 from 1st July …..
Yours very Proudly in Sport
Paul McMahon (Club Secretary)

As many supporters as possible are encouraged to go down and cheer Danny, Mike and the lads on. Its a bright and breezy start at 9.30am down at Cantilever Park, Warrington Town’s Home Ground.
The very best of luck from the Club and hoping for a great game of football all round.
Fantastic news has just been announced for Winwick Athletic FC. We are pretty excited to have become Lancashire County FAs Charter Standard Community Club of the Year for 2016 under the FAs Community Awards programme. This is a huge honour to have been recognized at the highest possible level of Charter Standard attainment, as a Community Club, and we take this award on with great collective pride and commitment as we look to providing a sustainable future for all of the children in our Club. We have a history of being well organized and have won honours before as a Development Club between 2007 and 2011, but to do this at Community Club level now too is really amazing.
At just under 400 players, from academy youngsters simply practicing having fun with a ball, through to competitive contests at open-age, with girls taking part too in all ages, with an open-door policy towards player recruitment and also by encouraging all adults to coach or to become referees for our common footballing future, we hope that in our 40th Anniversary Year here this year we can look forwards to another 40 years ahead !!
To be further announced by the FA at this same time as one of only 66 Clubs nationally to receive an FA 1966 Award too, in the 50th Anniversary Year of England’s World Cup victory of 1966, we are even more delighted to have been recognized for all of the hard work of so many in our Club. Not just the coaches and club committee, but also every single player, parent, supporter and friend of our club. Thanks to all who continue to support our Club, we will never let you down. To all players, continue to have FUN at all times, that allows all of us adults to have some fun too you know !!! You all make us smile more than you will ever know.
Delighted to be able to report that a significant input of effort by all of our FA Level 1 and Level 2 Coaches has resulted in Winwick Athletic FC exceeding the FA Target for 90% of them to be at Licensed Coach Status. We are proud to report 95% as we now have a massive 38 FA Licensed Coaches in our ranks looking after the children in our teams.
A huge pat on the back to all of our coaches from your Club Committee, and I am pretty sure that the FA, and in particular our parent Lancashire County FA, will be pretty pleased too (#madeupClubSecretary)
